The photovoltaic installation will consist of a solar plant of 44 MWp. It will be located in the municipality of Puerto de la Cruz (Cadiz) and will be built on an area of approximately 101 Ha.
The installation will consist of the most advanced solar technology, with 123,000 polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules that will occupy a net catchment area of 238,620 sqm. The modules will be mounted on structures with one axis tracking system and the produced direct current will be transformed to alternating current by central inverters of 2.5 MW capacity.
The expected specific production is 1,866 kWh/kWp, to obtain an average annual production of 82 GWh, equivalent to an average annual consumption in Spain of 25,308 households.
The energy evacuation will be carried out through a 30/220 kV elevator transformer, located in the high voltage substation of the plant. The substation will have a collector/ elevator configuration. From this substation, it will connect with a common substation of promoters through a 220 kV high voltage line. Next, it will connect with a sectioning substation through a common evacuation line. Finally, it will connect with the renewable position existing in the 220 kV substation of REE.
